Bangkok | AEON (ADM) ATM may not dispense money, but write off
In this ATM, the commission for issuing cash is lower than in other banks. I decided to withdraw money in it, simply because it was closer and was at the entrance to the Lotus store.

The issuance process is standard, but after entering the amount, the ATM displays an error message "Money cannot be withdrawn, contact your bank", while the amount is debited from your account, but you do not receive money - I realized this when I tried to write off the amount already in another ATM.

After that, I started calling AEON, and after 15 minutes of talking with an English-speaking operator, nothing but "Contact your bank" could not be heard.

Thoughts in my head: what if I didn’t take the money and the next one after me just took it.

I began to search on the Internet and it turned out that the case was not isolated, people faced the same problem at different times. The saddest thing is that a person tried to withdraw 4 times in the same ATM and, accordingly, 4 times the money was debited, but was not issued. You will only find out about this after checking your account.

I resigned myself to losing money. But after 5 days, the money was returned to the account (all this time they were frozen, and after AEON processes the data that the ATM did not physically dispense money, they cancel the transaction).
I do not recommend using AEON ATMs to save your nerves.

If this happens anyway:
  1. Save the receipt
  2. Take a photo of the ATM data (number, location)
  3. Contact your bank to clarify the details of the transaction
  4. Expect a refund up to 14 business days
