Main thoughts
Every person in Morocco wants to scam you (even if they don’t, you shouldn’t trust them) aka The Boy Who Cried Wolf.
Travel tips:
• 1 day = 1 city – staying longer doesn’t make much sense.
• The old Medina quarters in different cities are somewhat similar (plan for half a day or less).
• The smaller the city, the better the experience.
• Public beaches are okay, but you won’t feel like swimming (neither in the Atlantic Ocean nor the Mediterranean Sea).
• Big temperature swings: 15°C at night to 30+°C in the sun (so it’s not just unbearable heat in summer).
• Medina (old town in some cities): lots of different smells, many beggars and unpleasant people. It helps to know where you’re going (there are great places, check Google Maps reviews).
• When choosing a place to eat, always check Google Maps reviews. Sort by the latest ones and pay attention to who’s leaving them. Trust tourists’ reviews over locals’—otherwise, you might be surprised by a “5-star” meal.
• Good roads, interesting traffic police officers with their own tricks.
Final verdict:
An amazing journey full of different emotions—one that you’ll only need to experience once.

In fact
• Direct flights with Royal Air Maroc.
• Holafly eSIM with unlimited data for any number of days (referral link).
• JETPACK eSIM for short-term use: 1GB / 1 USD.
• Car rental at the airport – my review of CAR LA VILLE.
• Hotels only via Booking/Airbnb – other options may involve potential scams.
• In Morocco, cash withdrawals with a UnionPay card are possible at Attijariwafa Bank ATMs (max 2000 dirhams per transaction, 30-dirham fee).
I’ll write short articles on each topic later.
